Learn How to Make String Art June 28
Want to make your own one-of-a-kind string art? Go to the Kentucky String Art Class, and you’ll be guided by a crafts expert who can show you how to make your own beautiful art. Once you know how to make string art, you can use this skill whenever you like to create something new.
String Your Own Art
At the class, you’ll make a 5 X 7 piece of string art in the shape of Kentucky. String art is a relaxing way to pass the time and get creative. You can feel a sense of pride once you complete the project, and know that you made it with your own two hands.
After learning the technique, there’s no limit to what you can create if you decide to experiment with making string art on your own. The class costs $40 and lasts from 7 to 8 pm. See what develops this June when you go to the Douglass Boulevard Christian Church at 2005 Douglass Boulevard. That’s in the Highlands community, right down the road from pretty Strathmoor Village.
Step into Strathmoor Village
The Highlands is a community that buzzes with eclectic energy and excitement. It's a cultural melting pot where you'll find an art scene, a theater scene, a restaurant scene, active nightlife and young performers hanging out in coffee shops. Strathmoor Village, by contrast, is quiet. This neighborhood is almost all residential and filled with shade trees and winding streets, though you can find all the excitement of the Highlands right down the road.
The homes here help create the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. You'll see lots of early 20th century architecture here, breathtaking designs in Cape Cod, Colonial and traditional styles. These homes have charm and character that create a unique look in Strathmoor Village. It really does look a bit like a small village here, with lots of gorgeous homes settled on bright green lawns. Inside, you'll find that homes here have updated interiors and high-end details like granite counters. Many homes still have some original details as well, like big fireplaces and beautiful hardwood.
You might almost say the homes in Strathmoor Village are a work of art. See how this neighborhood moves you, and visit this June.
