Lights Under Louisville Now Through January 1st
A cave may not seem like it would be filled with Christmas cheer, but the Louisville Mega Cavern at 1841 Taylor Avenue offers enough holiday spirit with its annual Lights Under Louisville to draw guests from 22 states. Families and friends can load up in a car, van or motor coach and take a 30 to 45 minute underground ride filled with all of the magic of Christmas via 17 miles of wiring and over 2,000,000 points of light.
This event is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. from now through January 1st. Tickets for this Christmas light extravaganza are by the carload, not the person. Cars, trucks, SUVs and minivans pay $25, full-sized vans pay $35, limos pay $50, church buses pay $60 and school buses pay $100.
The Louisville Mega Cavern’s Lights Under Louisville is the only operation of its kind across the United States. This event features over 850 lit characters and holiday themed scenes. Visitors will be entertained by not only an amazing array of Christmas lights, but also classic holiday music will be playing during their underground adventure.
