Breathing Easy in Butchertown
Butchertown is one of Louisville's oldest neighborhoods. People started moving here at early as 1820 and there's a ton of history here. Thomas Edison once lived in this neighborhood. You can actually visit the little house he lived in when he was a young man. This is also where the actual "Happy Birthday" song was written, seriously!
This is also where you can find the extreme skate park, go to a place to throw axes or have something great to eat at Butchertown Grocery. Get a drink at a little nightspot, go rock climbing or visit an art gallery while you're here. There's a ton of stuff to do in Butchertown and a lot more reasons why you might like living here.
Butchertown is famous for its great collection of pretty shotgun homes, some of which are a lot bigger than they first appear. The historic homes in Butchertown truly stand out and they have a lot to offer, including plenty of modern upgrades that make them comfortable for today's buyers. It’s easy to be at peace with the decision to live in Butchertown!
