Play a Round of Golf This July
Summer is a great time to get out on the fairways and play a round of golf. Louisville has many beautiful public courses. This July, grab your gear and your clubs and go play 18 holes at Long Run Golf Course.
Hit the Course
Long Run Golf Course has a full 18 holes. It’s a par 72 course and it’s part of one of the city’s beautiful parks, Long Run. The front nine of the course is average distance that is open and flat. The back nine has a hillier terrain that’s full of trees and beautiful vistas. You’ll be challenged by the two double dogleg par fives.
The park has plenty of other stuff to enjoy as well. There’s a lake where you can do some fishing, a playground for the kids and the young at heart and a tennis court. There are numerous horseback riding trails as well.
Long Run is at 1605 Flat Rock Road. That's close to the Polo Fields neighborhood, a community with breathtakingly stunning homes.
Play Around in Polo Fields
Once you see the big, multi-bedroom homes here, you're going to have to slow down or even stop just to take it all in. Polo Fields looks like a movie neighborhood, but it's all completely real. Big, green lawns with pretty landscaping as far as the eye can see, winding roads, shady trees. And at the center of it all are big, beautiful homes built in brick with details like tall columns, sweeping driveways and impressive entrances.
There's even more luxury to be found inside. You'll see arches, hardwood floors, recessed lighting, fireplaces and all sorts of beautiful high-end features.
