Play Bingo and Sip Bourbon at the Audubon Country Club June 20
Go to the Audubon Country Club for a unique night of entertainment that combines the fun of playing bingo with the taste of fine bourbon. If two things ever belonged together, it’s bingo and bourbon. See what you think of the combination on June 20.
A Night of Bingo and Bourbon
Kentucky distillers will be providing bourbon for you to taste while you play bingo at the Audubon Country Club. Hors d'oeuvres will be served, and soft drinks will be available in addition to the bourbon. The event helps to support Community Living, a nonprofit group that aids people with developmental disabilities.
The event begins at 7 and ends at 11 pm. Tickets cost $35 per person. You’ll find the Audubon Country Club at 3265 Robin Road, right next to the Audubon Park neighborhood.
A Day in Audubon Park
Audubon Park got its name because it looks like a park. This community is full of trees, and in June there are flowers in bloom everywhere. Audubon Park take its green spaces seriously. There is a Garden Club and a Forest Board that helps to maintain community landscaping. There's also an active Parks and Recreation Board.
The country club is right next to the neighborhood, but there's a lot of other good stuff nearby. The Louisville Zoo and Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve are both just a short distance away. The fairgrounds are on the other side of the highway, within quick driving distance.
The neighborhood is full of many different home styles. Craftsman, bungalow, Dutch colonial and Neo-Federal homes give Audubon Park a classic look. It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places so the beautiful architecture in the neighborhood will be preserved.
Visit it this June when you go to the country club, and you may feel like you’re strolling through a park.
