Play Nintendo Switch at the Kentucky State Fair August 15
Nintendo is one of the oldest and most well-known names in gaming, a true pioneer of the video gaming industry. This August 15th, you’ll get a chance to play the Nintendo Switch at the Kentucky State Fair and test out a bunch of games.
Get your hands on the Nintendo Switch and play all kids of cool games, including Super Mario Maker 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There’s a large-screen TV for you to view your gaming experience, and bucket race car seats to really bring Mario Kart to life.
The play area is colorful and fun, perfect for great photo opportunities. It all begins at 10 am at the Kentucky State Fair. Admission for children and adults over the age of 6 is $10. Children under 5 attend for free. The State Fair is at 937 Phillips Lane. That’s right outside Camp Taylor, a neighborhood with a pretty fun history of its own.
Play Around in Camp Taylor
When you come into the Camp Taylor community, you'll notice charming, colorful homes in bungalow styles sitting on green lawns surrounded by trees. Sounds perfect, right? Wait until you see the real estate in Camp Taylor in person. This whole area was a military base in 1917 and helped many young soldiers train for WWI. Famous author F. Scott Fitzgerald was stationed here when he was still a struggling young writer.
Camp Taylor is surrounded by stuff to do. The fairgrounds and UofL are on one side, while the Louisville Zoo and Mega Cavern are on the other. Because it's in the center of the city, Camp Taylor isn't too far from anything you might want to do anywhere in Louisville.
Camp Taylor is full of history, life and color. That's what makes this neighborhood a perfect place to start establishing your own history. Find out for yourself this August.
