Quilt Your Heart Out at the Sew Original Quilt and Creative Expo October 9 – 11
Like quilts and quilting? Even if you’ve only flirted with the idea of sewing, you don’t want to miss the Sew Original Quilt and Creative Expo. It’s all taking place at the Kentucky Exposition Center from October 9 to 11.
If it’s quilting-related, you’ll find it at this Expo event. Vendors will be selling beautiful finished products as well as quilting and sewing supplies of all types. It’s a shopper’s paradise for those who love wielding a needle. Vendors come from all over the country to attend this event, and that means you’ll find supplies and goods of all kinds.
And for those who just like looking at great quilts, the Expo offers this as well. Look at the large quilt exhibits to see amazing examples of what you can achieve if you master the art of quilting. This is a craft that has strong roots in American history. Quilts help to preserve folklore in a unique way that you won’t find in any other art form.
Industry experts will be leading classes and discussion groups to teach you more about quilting and sewing. You’ll get a lot of information and opportunity for an admission fee of $10 daily. Pay $20 for a three-day pass, and attend the entire event. It takes place each day from 10 am to 5 pm. You’ll find it all at the Expo Center, located at 937 Phillips Lane.
Going into Bradley
The Expo Center is close to several Louisville neighborhoods, including beautiful Bradley. It’s just two miles southeast of downtown Louisville and conveniently close to U of L. This neighborhood is best-known for its architecture. Many of the homes in Bradley are designed in the popular Craftsman style.
