Run in the Park March 6
This March, try taking a run in the forest. It's for a good cause, Run for a Cure, so you've got a good reason to get out of the house and go for a jog among the trees. You'll be in one of the city's largest parks and you'll be doing something good to help others just by enjoying a day outside.
Run for a Cure
Run for a Cure is a 5k run that helps to support cancer research. This event will be socially distanced so all participants will be safe. You'll be at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. This is a large, sprawling green space full of trails and natural wonders, not to mention lots of cool stuff to do.
All the proceeds of this event benefit the student-led campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The run begins at 9 am. That will leave you plenty of time to go get lunch in Springhurst after the run. The park is at 3000 Freys Hill Road, which is just minutes away from the Springhurst neighborhood.
