Schnitzelburg Spring Walk April 27th
The annual Schnitzelburg Spring Walk is this weekend and everyone is welcome to step on out and enjoy a breath of fresh air. The walk starts at 1101 East Burnett at 5:00 p.m. and is free to attend with plenty of good food, live music and of course refreshing beer for those aged 21 and over. The festivities will continue until the musicians step off the stage around midnight.
During the annual Schnitzelburg Spring Walk, Hickory Street will be closed between Burnett Avenue and Goss Avenue so that festival goers can easily walk the festival stretch and enjoy the music, games and bar festivities throughout the area.
There will be a variety of gaming and food booths set up for participants to enjoy between participating businesses like Checks Café, Germantown Café, Pauly’s Pub, Nach Bar, 19th Hole, Zepplins and Club 21. Schnitzelburg replaced Central Avenue a few decades ago as host to the largest collaboration of Derby parties sponsored by neighboring families, businesses bars and patrons in one centralized location in the city.
The annual Schnitzelburg Spring Walk has become a weekend before Derby tradition, so come celebrate food, spirits and the Kentucky Derby on April 27th!
