Scout the Farmer's Market for Ingredients This November

With the holidays approaching, there's a lot to do. There's a lot to cook! And you're going to need great ingredients to prepare some great meals, not to mention all the desserts. So this November, head to the Douglass Loop Farmers Market to scout around. You might get some good recipe ideas and you will definitely find a great source for fresh ingredients, so you can come back later in the season and stock up for the big meals that are ahead.

Farmers Market

The Douglass Loop Farmers Market is open much later in the season than many other farmers markets around the city. You can shop here to get farm-fresh items every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm all the way through December 16, so you'll have plenty of days to come check things out and design your holiday menu.

Douglass Loop Farmers Market Food

There's a great selection of seasonal fruits, veggies, cheeses and meats here, not to mention plenty of local honey and pre-made items like breads and pastries. There are also arts and crafts here in case you want to get some holiday gift shopping done as well. You can even hear live music.

Bring your doggies with you as long as they're on a leash. The Douglass Loop Farmers Market is at 2005 Douglass Boulevard in the Highlands.

What You Will See in the Highlands

The Highlands may already be on your radar if you're a foodie at all. This neighborhood is known for having a mix of established and new, trendy places where you can try the latest cuisine. If you're into nightlife, you might know the Highlands is a place with a variety of little places to go, from casual pubs to cool wine bars. Coffee drinkers like it here, too, because you can see live performances and try different artisanal brews here. Or maybe you're a shopper, and you know that the little boutiques in the Highlands are perfect for finding that unusual item or that latest fashion trend.

But the Highlands really deserves to be famous for its real estate, too. The homes here reflect the neighborhood itself, they are classic, trendy, cool and unique all at once. Every home here is different and they range in size and style, which means that there are lots of different perfect homes here, depending on what you need. From the cozy and comfortable to the big and grand, the Highlands has lovely homes of all kinds. Find the one that matches your style this November.
