Kentuckiana Post 2015 Golf Scramble
Be at the Quail Chase Golf Club at 8 am to participate or watch a day of golf. This course has 27 holes and country club privileges that make this public course feel more like a private retreat. There are three different 9-hole courses that are playable by golfers of all skill levels. "Golf Digest" has rated Quail Chase as one of the best in the country, in fact.
The course is designed to take advantage of Louisville's naturally rolling terrain, which can provide challenges for golfers of all levels. You're surrounded by dogwoods, oak trees and maples while you're on the course. McNeely Lake is nearby, creating gorgeous natural scenery for golfers.
Enjoy lunch during the scramble. The food will be provided by Mark's Feed Store, a restaurant that has become a Louisville tradition since it was started in the city in the 1980s. It provides some of the best BBQ you can find anywhere.
You'll find the scramble at 7000 Cooper Chapel Road, but you can visit Quail Chase any time while the course is open. It's in the large Okolona community, a place that's famous for recreation of all types.
Okolona is well-known for Preston Highway and all the stuff it has to offer. From the green oasis of Quail Chase, come here to find eating and shopping opportunities. This is where you'll find the Jefferson Mall, a place known to locals as J-Mall.
Lots of people know about Okolona shopping and eating, but residents can tell you there’s a lot to love about Okolona living. There are many subdivisions throughout this community, which is full of ranch-style homes, bungalows and cottages. This is where you want to go to live in Friendly Hills, Sherwood Forest or Whispering Hills.
Get a look at Okolona Living on September 3 when you join in the golf scramble, and you’ll see there’s lots of reasons to scramble all over this community.
