Shakespeare in the Park

William Shakespeare's "Henry V" is one of the histories, a play based on actual historical events. In this case, it's the famous Battle of Agincourt. This battle played out in 1415 between France and England during the Hundred Years' War.

Henry V Swordfights

Henry V, King of England, believes he is also the King of France, the rightful heir to the throne. He decides to invade. The actual King of France is Charles VI, who taunts Henry. The English army is badly outnumbered but they are full of heart. It is on the eve of battle that Henry delivers one of Shakespeare's most famous speeches. It contains the phrase "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers."
