See Improvapalooza at the Kentucky Center for the Arts on January 12th
If you are ready for some giggles in 2013, the Kentucky Center for the Arts' Bombard Theater at 501 West Main Street in Louisville will be presenting the comedy festival Improvapalooza 13 on January 12th at 8 p.m.
Improvapalooza was originally founded in 2000 by the Louisville Improvisors. This unique show was created to give a voice and stage to the variety and style included in improv comedy. The event combines the most popular and best of the best comedic performers on one stage, and has gained the title of the longest running improv festival in the Southwest.
Since its beginning, the show has included writers, performers and comedians from such renowned shows as The Simpsons, SNL, MAD TV, and The Daily Show. Improvapalooza has also showcased some hilarious and well-known comedy improv groups from Louisville, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Ft. Wayne, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
It has been said that laughter can heal the soul and Improvapalooza 13 will have the Bombard Theater roaring with laughter on January 12th. The Louisville Improvisors will tickle the fancy of viewers with their theatrical improv, combining traditional stage antics with the unknown and unpredictable art of improv comedy. Regular admission tickets are available for $26.75, but seniors and students get in for $22.75.
