Waterworks
The Kentucky Watercolor Society has been part of Louisville for four decades. Their mission is to promote the art of watercolor painting, a medium used throughout history by many masters of the brush. Since its founding, the Kentucky Watercolor Society has been nationally recognized and artists from all over the U.S. have had their work displayed in the various exhibits here.
See how beautiful and intricate watercolor paintings can be at this exhibit. The Kentucky Watercolor Society is at 4836 Brownsboro Road in the Windy Hills neighborhood. Here, you’ll find another type of art proudly on display: architecture.
Winding Around Windy Hills
Spend some time among the winding streets of Windy Hills, where lots of artistic architecture is on display all the time. Modern Craftsman designs and custom-designed homes in all sorts of designs are located here. Rolling green lawns create a perfect setting for the large homes. Windy Hills is full of cul-de-sacs to keep the streets quiet and peaceful, a serene oasis that's just a few miles outside of downtown Louisville in one direction and the Highlands in another.
Windy Hills is surrounded by several schools and places to shop. The Olmsted is just a short drive away, and the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery is right next door. Historic Locust Grove and the Louisville Country Club are nearby, too. Windy Hills is surrounded by beautiful things to see and full of beautiful homes. Before you leave this neighborhood, you might find that you want to live here, too!
