Seven Borders: Art from Kentucky’s Seven Bordering States
The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft is proud to present the exhibition, “Seven Borders: Art from Kentucky’s Seven Bordering States.” The exhibit goes on display starting on Friday, June 28th until Sunday, September 1st, 2013. The museum is located at 715 West Main Street in Louisville and viewing will be available from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Adult admission is $6, military and senior admission is $5, and anyone 17 years of age and younger is admitted for free.
The “Seven Borders: Art from Kentucky’s Seven Bordering States” will feature work from Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Missouri and Indiana. As Kentucky is the only state in the United States that has seven states bordering it, this exhibit will feature a wide variety of unique art. The show examines common threads that connect the states along with a variety of shared history.
Some of the featured artists will be Joel McDonald, Joel Ross, Claire Sherman, Greg Stimac, Andrew Douglas Underwood, Denise Burge, Walter Blaine Early IV and Taylor Baldwin.
The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft offers a fun for the entire family atmosphere by offering an array of amazing works of art from multiple mediums capable of relating to any generation. Art lovers are encouraged to take the opportunity to experience the artistic creations of Kentucky’s bordering states June 28th through September 1st, 2013.
