Friends of Jeffersontown Book Sale

This is actually one of Louisville's more interesting libraries. It began as a room in one building in 1911. In 1917, the library was part of the Jeffersontown town bank. For a while, the library was even located in private homes! The library has moved to all sorts of different buildings around J-Town and now, it's got its own beautiful building with all sorts of cool features. There's an adult reference area, a meeting room and a reading area that's full of natural light. See a lot more of the library this April when you come here to browse for books.

The library is at 10635 Watterson Trail in J-Town. It's always free to come and browse everything the library has to offer. It's also free to see the Jeffersontown neighborhood. Give this community a look and you won't have to look for long before you want to live here.

Shopping in Jeffersontown

Jeffersontown is a large community that has a lot of different attractions. There's a big variety of restaurants, a few pubs, grocery stores and places to go shopping. There are banks and gyms and schools and parks, all the places you look for in a neighborhood. There's a library here, bowling alleys, plenty of places to have a day or an evening out. But mostly, Jeffersontown is a place full of winding streets and cul-de-sacs where you can find a huge selection of real estate.

There are all sorts of homes here, from pretty classic styles made in brick with big front porches to modern split-level designs built in stone with attached garages. Ranch homes, pretty bungalows, classic designs, contemporary designs, traditional, estate-like, farmhouses! The list goes on. There are all kinds of different homes here and all sorts of different housing options, from places that sit on huge lawns to homes that are mostly surrounded by landscaping.
