Shop at the Pottery Festival March 5
Pottery is an art form that is as old as ancient humans. The history of pottery is just as long as the history of mankind itself. People are still making ceramics today and this March, it's time to celebrate it. Go shop and browse and learn more about pottery at the Southern Crossings Pottery Festival at the Ten20 Craft Brewery.
This event is open to the public and free to attend. Work from a dozen different potters will be available to purchase. By the way, this event is being held at a brewery so if you work up a thirst while browsing, no problem. There will also be coffee available.
The festival is all about showcasing local pottery. The Ohio River Valley has a rich history of pottery and artisan potters. Shop from 11 am to 5 pm at Ten20 Craft Brewery. That's at 1020 E. Washington Street in the Butchertown neighborhood. If you need a perfect place to put the pottery you buy at the festival, looking at Butchertown real estate is a great way to start looking for a new home.
Getting Festive in Butchertown
Butchertown has a unique look that you can't really find anywhere else in the city. This neighborhood is right on the waterfront and next to the downtown area, which means that Butchertown is just as historic as the city itself. Many of these buildings still remain in Butchertown, beautiful historic places that have been restored and cared for over the years.
These shotgun-style homes have all the historic beauty on the outside but they are very modern on the inside. These houses have gorgeous floors, great lighting and modern extras that today's homeowners want. Butchertown has a lot of what homeowners want, too. This neighborhood is full of great restaurants, great places to shop and unique features. Go see it for yourself this March and do some shopping in Butchertown.
