Shop at Winterfair December 2
Do your holiday shopping at Winterfair this December, and start the season off right with amazing fine art and crafts of all types. You can find something for just about everyone on your gift list here, and you can do it all at a fun, indoor festival that’s going to be full of surprises.
Winterfair 2016
Winterfair is an annual event that’s always a little bit different. What never changes is the amazing selection, because there’s always a lot of it. This indoor festival will feature more than 80 artists who have great stuff to sell, from jewelry to pottery to art glass to just about any other type of craft you can think of. It’s free to come and browse all the amazing art and just get some good ideas, if you like, but you’ll definitely be tempted to buy more than once while you’re here.
While you’re here, buy a chance in the artists’ raffle. The proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Kentucky Center’s Arts in Healing program, which gives back to the community. There will also be lots of great food and drink available, not to mention beautiful decorations. It’s all happening at the Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church at 4936 Brownsboro Road. Be there any time from 2 to 7 pm, or come prepared to stay all day. You’ll be right next to Windy Hills, a perfect place to start shopping when you’re browsing for a new family home.
Unwinding in Windy Hills
Windy Hills is just minutes away from the Mall St. Matthews, a great place to do holiday shopping any time of year, but this quiet neighborhood feels far away from the bustle of the city. The large homes here sit on lots covered with trees on sidewalked streets. Many of them end in cul-de-sacs that wend and wind their way through this neighborhood. Windy Hills is residential, and designed to give residents here the peace and quiet they want. The big lawns, wide streets and beautiful homes create a perfect backdrop for children to play in their yards while pet owners walk their dogs down the still streets.
In other words, Windy Hills has the look of a perfect family neighborhood, and that's why so many look for homes here. The houses are designed with classic architectural elements, and styled to be big and roomy to accommodate growing families. Many of the homes here have three or more bedrooms, not to mention garages and extra rooms to give you plenty of growing space. Go see Windy Hills, and you may wind up shopping for a life here, too.
