Shop for Books September 16

In a world where everything is on a screen, it’s nice to enjoy the simple pleasures every once in a while. Sometimes, you want to sit and read a real book with real pages. This September, go to the Friends of the Library Booksale and go shop for real books. Because it’s good to just kick back and unwind and read something that isn’t on a screen.


All the books at this sale are gently used. That means in a way, the books have their own stories to tell, in addition to the stories they tell! These books have a past and a history. They’re real and they’re solid and you just can’t get the same experience when you read on a screen. Go explore this sale for free and who knows what sort of discoveries you’ll make?

Friends of the Library Booksale

There will be a huge selection of books here, from popular titles to hidden treasures. The sale is cash only and the discounts are very good so you don’t have to bring a lot of money to get a lot of books. The sale is open from 1 to 4:30 pm at 3940 Grandview Avenue in St. Matthews.

The St. Matthews area of Louisville is full of amazing selections, actually. There are a ton of different places to shop and eat here, many different schools, several great parks, even multiple country clubs to choose from. You can go bowling or go to the salon, go to the movies or go to a play place where kids and adults can have fun. You’ll also find amazing places to live in St. Matthews, from smaller neighborhoods to beautiful subdivisions. That includes places like Norbourne Estates.
