You can even get some homemade candy while you're here, so you won't have to spend time on any holiday baking if you don't want to.
All the booths are indoors, so you can shop in total comfort. This shopping event is open from 10 am to 4 pm at Nazareth Home. You'll find it at 2000 Newburg Road, just outside the Deer Park neighborhood. This is a fun, lively neighborhood full of color and architecture that's worth seeing. This is a great place to be when you're out doing some shopping. The Highlands is nearby, a community well-known for having one-of-a-kind shops with all sorts of unique items.
A Day Around Deer Park
Deer Park is really a one-of-a-kind neighborhood. Part of the larger Highlands community, Deer Park is an historic part of Louisville that was first developed in the 1890s. Lots of Deer Park is actually on the National Register District because of its historic architecture. The pretty bungalow-style homes here are distinct and pretty, designed with extra attention to detail that stands out.
This neighborhood also has a unique feature that's hard to find outside of Old Louisville, pedestrian courts. These courts were built during the streetcar era, a short-lived span of history that has been captured and frozen in time in Deer Park.
Deer Park is home to Highland Middle School, as well as a few restaurants and small shops mostly located along Bardstown Road. A couple of famous Highlands stores are here, making this one of the more well-known parts of Bardstown Road.
Spend a day around Deer Park this November, and you'll see what spending your life here might be like.
