Sip Bourbon, Eat Food and Hear Music at Bourbon and Beyond September 20
Take a day this September to enjoy some of the finer things in life: bourbon, food and incredible music. Bourbon and Beyond is coming to the Expo Center. This is an all-day concert event filled with food and drink, and what’s finer than that on a September day?
Bourbon and Beyond
This is a three-day event that begins with a huge lineup of talent. On day one, September 20, you can expect to hear the Foo Fighters, John Fogerty, The Flaming Lips, Live, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Pearl and many more.
Multiple Louisville vendors will be on hand to provide drinks and eats, including Four Roses distillery, Old Forester, Wild Turkey and Angel's Envy, to name just a few. Food will be provided by local restaurants like the 502 Cafe, the Angry Bird Grill and Jailhouse BBQ. Celebrity chefs, including the Food Network's Amanda Freitag and MasterChef's Graham Elliot, will also provide food. Now, that really is some fine dining.
The festival is open at the Kentucky Expo Center from 11 am to 11 pm. That should give you lots of time to hear great music, sample lots of food and sip on some bourbon, or a lot of bourbon. Tickets cost $100 to $650. The Expo Center is at 937 Phillips Lane. That’s right next to Audubon Park, the neighborhood that’s just beyond the Louisville Zoo. And when you see it, you’re going to be beyond excited about the real estate here.
Drink in the Sights of Audubon Park
Do you like classic good looks? Traditional home styling? How about big trees, long driveways, pretty landscaping? And oh yeah, golf course views. Audubon Park has all of this and more. This is a neighborhood full of multi-bedroom and bathroom homes that date to the early 1900s. The houses still retain this early century charm with a variety of Craftsman and bungalow styles. The crown molding and fireplaces and amazing architecture have been preserved, but these homes have been updated and filled with modern upgrades over the years. You can truly have the best of the old and the new here.
This is a mostly residential neighborhood full of trees and homes and quiet streets, but Audubon Park is right in the heart of the action when it comes to its location. The Mega Cavern, the Expo Center and the zoo are just minutes away. There are restaurants, shops and tons of other great places nearby. And with the golf course next door, you're going to have a hard time finding reasons to leave Audubon Park. Stay awhile and see which one of the homes here you'd like to live in. You may just come up with several possibilities!
