Smokin' on the River Festival
There is smoke on the river, but don’t pull any alarms as the fires are the beginning of summer fun! The Smokin' on the River Festival happens this weekend on Riverside Drive at the Jeffersonville River Stage in Indiana. Things will be kicking off Friday June 15th and continuing till Saturday June 16th from 11am till 10 pm. There are hours of fun just waiting a hop, skip and a jump over the bridge.
What a better place to celebrate great food in the sunshine but on the river’s edge? Smokin’ on the River is the second largest BBQ festival in the state of Indiana. You won’t go thirsty because this is a fantastic barbeque event with plenty of locally-crafted beer for adults and soda for the kiddos. If you enjoy BBQ of any type, you won’t find anything disappointing about this choice of activities.
The entertainment at this event is one of the reasons this festival is labeled smokin’! Festival goers will be serenaded by classic blues tunes and truly feel the music. This is a great event to stop by and enjoy this weekend with the family. Summer is the time for fun in the sun and the river festivals are always a blast. Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs, relax, enjoy the food, music and watch the boats cruise down the Ohio. What a great way to spend an afternoon!
