Squallis Puppeteers Present City Comics June 1st
The Squallis Puppeteers have found a home at the School of Sharks Theater, located on the top floor of Our Mother of Sorrows at 770 Eastern Parkway in Louisville. In celebration, they are presenting “City Comics” at 1:00 p.m. on June 1st for a cost of $5 per person. This is a family-friendly event and the doors will be open until 5:00 p.m. with a “Make it and Take it” puppet making workshop after the show for an additional $5.
The performance of “City Comics” is the tale of an adventurous but gullible boy named Sam who has an imaginary friend who is a rat. Sam is fascinated with super hero movies and unfortunately, heeds the bad advice of Rupert the Rat and tries a few super hero tricks himself. After some laughs and some tears, Sam learns to leave the super hero stuff to the comics.
“City Comics” is the kick off to the First Saturdays Puppet Show and Workshop Series that will be taking place at the School for Sharks Theater at 770 Eastern Parkway, top floor. This fun for all ages event will take place every Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. For a fee of $5, adults and children can watch the puppeteers perform and for an additional $5, design your own puppet.
