Stroll Through the Jack O’Lanterns Supporting Dreams with Wings October 18
Without pumpkins, October just isn’t October. Celebrate the season this year by taking the Jack O’Lantern Stroll in support of Dreams with Wings. Walk among the glowing pumpkins and enjoy this October festival that’s full of food, events and plenty of stuff to enjoy.
Strolling Through the Pumpkins
While you’re on the Jack O’Lantern Stroll, you’ll get to enjoy several activities. Kids can do a little trick-or-treating during the journey, and you’ll have the chance to participate in crafts and games. Take a look at Louisville’s largest pumpkin pie, hear live music and see what else you can find while you’re strolling among the pumpkins. This event has everything you love about October.
This event is free, but a donation of $5 is suggested for any trick-or-treaters. Everyone is welcome to come here and stroll among the pumpkins and participate in all the fun. The Stroll is open from 6 to 9 pm at 1960 Bardstown Road. You'll be in Deer Park, a historic neighborhood that has its own distinct personality and unique character. Spend some time looking around at the real estate here and let Deer Park make a strong impression on you.
Take a Stroll Around Deer Park
Between the pretty Bellarmine Campus and next to the quiet Calvary Cemetery, you'll find historic Deer Park. Unique and quirky, Deer Park is unique even to the Highlands neighborhood. Deer Park has its own special flair thanks to the multicolored statues you'll find scattered throughout the neighborhood. They're deer, a play on the horse statues that appear throughout the city during the Derby season.
The pretty historic homes in Deer Park are made in classic styles that charm many people right away. The homes here have multiple bedrooms and details that date to the first half of the 1900s. Features like hardwood floors and fireplaces are common here. What's not common is the pretty, unique designs. Each home here is eye-catching and welcoming.
Find out which home in Deer Park appeals most to you this October. Soon, you may be calling yourself a Highlands-area resident, too.
