The gorgeous Whitehall House and Gardens has been beautifully decorated for the holiday season, and just for the season, the house is open. Take a special Candlelight Tour of the open house while live music plays and refreshments are served. It’s almost like being one of the guests at a fancy party decades ago, when this house was new and the whole world was a different place. See the house all lit up and made festive for the holidays, and step through history for a little while under the glow of candlelight.

Open House

Whitehall is truly a spectacular historic home site. The mansion itself is gleaming white with tall columns. It's surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens that sprawl out on all sides. The house dates to 1855, and you can see this time period reflected in the architecture and furnishings that fill the house.

Whitehall House and Gardens Candlelight Tour

At Christmastime, the house is bedecked with holiday cheer. Go see it this November at 3110 Lexington Road. Be there from 6 to 8 pm to see displays and decor provided by many businesses, including Efflorescent Flowers and Heine Bros. Tickets cost $10 per person, and the proceeds all go to help preserve Whitehall. This lovely historic home is in Cherokee Gardens. This beautiful neighborhood provides the perfect backdrop for Whitehall. Let the winding streets tempt you deeper and deeper into the neighborhood. Before you know it, you won't even want to leave.

Checking Out Cherokee Gardens

The Cherokee Gardens neighborhood is next to Cherokee Park and Seneca Park, and surrounded by schools and various attractions. Crescent Hill is minutes away, but so is the eclectic Highlands neighborhood. Residents of Cherokee Gardens have access to some of the best restaurants and the most interesting locally owned boutiques in the city. And inside Cherokee Gardens, you're going to find some of the best real estate in the city.

Many homes in Cherokee Gardens have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, so there's plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The homes here are made to be big and spacious, like the landscaped lots where they sit. There's a lot of historic architecture here, homes that date to the early 1900s. The famous Olmstead Brothers were hired to do the landscaping and keep everything beautiful. This neighborhood is still full of beauty. Go check out Cherokee Gardens, and soon a home here will make it to the top of your wish list.
