Sweet Bourbon Temptations
This is a demonstration class where you'll learn recipes and techniques for making many different dishes. The menu begins with a starter of roasted red pepper and tomato soup served with cheese toast. How does that sound? Next, learn the secrets of making a Kentucky bourbon butter cake. Bourbon and butter? Why not? Learn how to make a cherry bourbon pie with a butter oat crumble topping, which would be a delight on any table.
You'll also learn how to make a bourbon chocolate cake with praline frosting. Just the name of that recipe makes the moth water. The class finishes up with a lesson on a bourbon caramel pumpkin tart, a perfect fall treat.
Class lasts from 11:30 am to 2 pm and costs $55 per person. This class is at Cooking at the Cottage. Find it at 3739 Lexington Road. That's a short drive down Lexington Road from the gorgeous Cherokee Gardens neighborhood, a community of large, amazing homes in traditional architecture.
