Take a Free Yoga Class at the Douglass Community Center July 17
Yoga is about more than exercising your body. It’s also a way to exercise your mind. Yoga helps strengthen and lengthen your muscles. It relaxes you, it centers you and it helps you achieve peace of mind. And at the Douglass Community Center, yoga is free.
Yoga for All
Head to the Douglass Community Center at 6:30 pm for a free yoga class. Here, you’ll learn how to perform many different poses and positions designed to help you achieve mental and physical balance. People use yoga not just to stay healthy, but to learn how to stay calm and find inner peace. This is also a great way to learn how to get more out of your body. Yoga strengthens and stretches your muscles, so you become more limber the more you do it.
Class lasts for about an hour. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. The Douglass Community Center is at 2305 Douglass Boulevard. That's just outside the Seneca Gardens neighborhood, a sprawling and lovely community right next to the Seneca Golf Course and pretty Seneca Park. Cherokee Park is right next door as well. This puts Seneca Gardens at the center of incredible natural beauty, where it’s still surrounded by all the fun of the Highlands.
Viewing Beauty in Seneca Gardens
Seneca Gardens is next to the heat of the Highlands neighborhood, a community that's famous for its quirky and eccentric culture. The Highlands is packed with theaters, little shops, restaurants and totally one-of-a-kind places to go. It's a great place to grab a cup of coffee and do some people-watching. The Highlands also has schools, grocery stores and all the places people look for in a neighborhood.
And if you're looking for a neighborhood that's full of traditional architecture, look no farther than Seneca Gardens. Beautiful brick homes with long driveways and big front lawns give this neighborhood a homey, classic look. Many homes here have fireplaces and little touches that put them over the top. The houses are designed to be big, with lots of square feet and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms.
As for the neighborhood itself, Seneca Gardens is full of rolling green lawns, landscaping and quiet streets that end in cul-de-sacs. Seneca Gardens even has its very own arborist to oversee the planting of new trees and keep this neighborhood full of natural shade. After you see the real estate here, it won’t be too much of a stretch for you to picture yourself living in Seneca Gardens.
