Take a Hike February 13
Hiking isn't often at the top of the list of romantic activities. But that's because you haven't been to the Valentine's Candlelit Hike at the Louisville Nature Center. This February, fall in love with nature and take your outdoor-loving sweetheart on a date made for nature lovers.
Valentine's Candlelit Hike
The Louisville Nature Center is the perfect place to celebrate the natural world and all the wonders within it. See the stars and let the glow of candles light the way as you explore the trails at night. You will probably hear or see some critters scurrying around.
Choose a shorter hike that's just under a mile or go for a longer walk of almost two miles. Either way, you will be dazzled by the many wonders around you. There will be snacks and drinks by firelight when the hike is over.
The hike is not strenuous, but it is restricted to people 21 and over. Tickets cost $30 per couple. The Louisville Nature Center is at 3745 Illinois Avenue and the hike lasts from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. You'll be right outside Audubon Park. If pretty homes and quiet streets are romantic to you, this is right where you need to be.
Fall for Audubon Park
Audubon Park is easy to find. It's right next to the pretty Audubon Park Country Club, which you'll find along Cardinal Drive. All the streets in this neighborhood are named for birds. The neighborhood is dotted with small parks, where many birds have found a happy home. You might find a happy home here, too. Audubon Park has a classic look to it and custom homes that all have their own design. Every home is unique and has its own story. Any home here might be the perfect place for your story, too.
The neighborhood was founded over one hundred years ago, and many of the houses here have a historic design. They also have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and that's just the beginning. Step inside to find beautiful wood floors, amazing embellishments like crown molding and custom ceilings, kitchen islands, fireplaces and more. Find a home with basement space, maybe a big laundry room, an extra room you can use as a home office. Homes here also have outdoor living spaces and beautiful additions and touches everywhere.
Fall for Audubon Park this February. It won't take you long to love this neighborhood.
