Take a Parent Shopping Day December 22
The kids are on their break and the shopping list still isn’t done. Don’t panic, just drop them off for a Parent Shopping Day. They’ll stay entertained and active in a supervised and safe environment with other kids, while you get a much-needed break to go shopping in one of Louisville’s most popular shopping neighborhoods. You’ll have from 10 am to 2 pm to get that shopping list finished, and maybe find out more about Middletown while you’re in the area.
Meet Me in Middletown
Middletown is one of the largest neighborhoods in Louisville and one of the biggest shopping communities in the city, but it's a place that strives to feel like a small town. Middletown is a close-knit community with a business association, several neighborhood associations and lots of regular community activities that bring everyone together. Take a look at the Historic District while you're here to see some truly breathtaking homes and businesses that have been fully restored to their century-old glory.
There are plenty of newer businesses here, too. Middletown is well-known to Louisville residents as a great place to shop. If you work up an appetite while you're checking off your holiday list, you'll find plenty of places to stop and grab a bite. Middletown is packed with restaurants as well. This neighborhood has several fitness centers, lots of places to take the kids, parks, schools and everything else you might want. That includes lots of stunning homes.
Whether you want to live in a traditional brick two-story, a rambling ranch with many rooms, a charming farm house, a patio home or even a condo, you're going to find it here. Middletown has something for everyone to enjoy, and that's why it has such a diverse mix of families and people. Go see it for yourself when you take a shopping day this December. Don't worry, the kids will have a great time while you have your private time.
Parent Shopping Day
Take the kids to My Gym at 11770 Shelbyville Road and just turn them loose. They’ll stay entertained with games and activities while you’re out shopping. Kids will get access to the gym and the various play activity inside, so they can burn off some of that winter energy while instructors keep them safe. All kids aged 3 to 7 are welcome, and all will have fun playing with kids their own age. They’ll get pizza and juice box for lunch, so you know they’re going to love it. Children cost $30, but siblings can stay for half price.
Visit the My Gym website to reserve your space, and make your plans to get your holiday shopping finished in peace and quiet this year.
