Take a Walk for Earth Day April 22
Earth Day is a day that's all about celebrating the Earth. That means all the dirt and rocks and trees and green growing things and animals, too. And this is a perfect day to get out in nature and take a walk. Because to really enjoy the Earth, you've got to get out from behind the screen and get a look at the Earth every once in a while.
Wildlife Walk
This is a guided walk with an expert Naturalist who will show you rarely seen creatures that share the Earth with all the humans. You'll get a look at frogs and salamanders. The walk is also educational. You'll learn more about birds, turtles and other little critters you'll see all along the trail.
This is a moderate hike that is not strenuous but it's also not always easy. You will be walking on uneven ground so be sure to wear strong walking shoes. The walk begins near the Nature Center at the picnic pavilion. The walk is from 6 to 8 pm, a time of day when many critters are scurrying around. This is a great time to see them and to enjoy nature.
The Earth Day Wildlife Walk is at the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve at 12501 Harmony Landing Road. That's in Goshen, a beautiful community near the water where it's very easy to celebrate nature. But Goshen has lots of great stuff built by humans, too.
Get Lost in Goshen
Goshen is a small town and it's got the attractions to match. This neighborhood has lakes, parks, schools, its own fire department and lots of great places you won't see anywhere else. There are event centers, actual working farms and cool little shops. There's even a yacht club on the riverfront.
Most of Goshen is taken up by winding streets and beautiful homes. These are estate-like homes that display all sorts of different architectural styles, from traditional and classic to modern and contemporary looks. Stone, brick, siding, it's all beautiful in Goshen. These homes have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and lots of space inside. You'll also see lots of luxury features inside these homes, extras like custom cabinets, stone counters, crown molding, spa bathrooms and much more.
Spend some time getting lost in Goshen this April. You'll want to spend a lot of time in this neighborhood.
