Take Stroller Strides to Get Fit August 5
If you’re a mom with a little one, you may feel that you never have time to exercise, and you’re probably right. But it’s a lot easier if you join Fit4Mom Stroller Strides. This is a program designed for moms who have little ones but still want to stay fit. Best of all, the workout is designed to be fun and social, too.
Moms for Fitness
The workout is 60 minutes long and targets your whole body. The entire routine includes power walking, toning exercises, strength training, activities and even songs. Classes are led by certified fitness instructors who make the routines fun with indoor and outdoor programs.
There’s a free playgroup as well, so you can socialize with other moms while the little ones socialize with each other. Be at the Parklands of Floyds Fork at 9:30 am for the class. If it’s your first week with Stroller Strides, then it’s free for you to attend.
You’ll find the Parklands at 400 Beckley Creek Parkway, next to the Shakes Run neighborhood.
Getting Fit Near Shakes Run
Shakes Run already sounds like a great neighborhood for fitness. The neighborhood is just minutes away from the gorgeous greenness of Beckley Creek Park. Shakes Run has its own green area at the Shakes Run clubhouse.
There are several small ponds in the neighborhood, which is next to Shakes Run Creek. Most of the streets here end in wide, circular cul-de-sacs. That means there isn't a lot of traffic coming through the neighborhood, and the kids have plenty of space to play.
Shakes Run is a self-contained neighborhood that feels like it's far away from it all, but it's just minutes from the famous Valhalla Golf Course, Long Run Park and the shopping attractions in Middletown.
Stroll around Shakes Run after your Stroller Strides workout, and you'll find that this an ideal Louisville neighborhood for any family.
