Taste of Frankfort Avenue June 22nd
The Annual Taste of Frankfort Avenue event will be held at 2117 Payne Street, in the beautiful Crescent Hill neighborhood, at the Clifton Center. It’s worth it just to see this landmark building. The Clifton Center is located in an old Catholic school that was originally restored in the 1930s. Today it’s a thriving cultural center located just off Frankfort Avenue.
This is a strictly local affair – really local. Restaurants located on or near Frankfort Avenue will provide the delicious eats. Irish Rover, North End Café, Volare, Porcini and Boombozz Pizza are just some of the restaurants on the menu. Try them all, because that’s what a Taste of Frankfort Avenue is all about. The money raised during the event goes to benefit the Clifton Center, so it can continue bringing art and culture to the Crescent Hill community.
The event is on June 22 from 5 pm to 8 pm, the perfect time for dinner. Live music will be available to entertain the crowds. Purchase your tickets online or buy them at another Crescent Hill business, Carmichael’s Bookstore at 2720 Frankfort Avenue.

The Clifton Center is just one of the notable places in the area. Crescent Hill is also home to the Peterson-Dumesnil House and the water company reservoir. The most dominant architecture styles are Colonial Revival and Classical Revival, historic design that reminds residents of Crescent Hill's past.
