The Best Santa Photo Ops in Louisville
Santa Claus, as most children know, can sometimes be elusive and hard to track down. But getting a photo with Santa Claus is a unique tradition that touches the lives of many families and allows children to tell the man in red exactly what is on their Christmas wish list. For those lucky enough to be living in Louisville, Kentucky, or for those visiting the area for the holidays, seeing Santa Claus for a photo and quiet chat is a common tradition to take part in. Here are some of the best opportunities for Santa photos in Louisville this year.
Traditional Santa Photos in the Mall
Right up until Christmas Eve, you can bring your children to Mall St. Matthews to get their photos taken with Santa Claus. This will surely allow them to have a quick exchange in regards to their wish list, as well. Located near Pottery Barn, Santa will be available for photos from 10 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday, except for his short breaks from 1 PM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 6 PM, when he leaves to feed the reindeer. On Sundays Santa is available from noon to 6 PM, except between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Breakfast and a Photo with Santa Claus
If your children are interested in an event that involves a whole lot more than just a photo op with Santa Claus, you may want to consider this event. With many Christmas events at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, one in particular stands out, and it involves tree-shaped pancakes. Breakfast with Santa takes place on Saturday, December 14 as well as Saturday, December 21, and gives your children the exciting chance to eat breakfast with Santa, while still getting the opportunity to tell him what's on their wish list and snap a photo or two. Activities like face-painting and dancing are also included in this fun event, as well as a ticket to KaLightoscope Christmas.
Meet Santa at the Louisville Zoo
Calling all animal lovers! Another opportunity for a photo op with Santa Claus comes along with more than most children could imagine. Santa Claus is making a special visit this year to the Louisville Zoo, and he is bringing Mrs. Claus along with him, as well as many of his North Pole friends. Your children will receive a complimentary photo with Santa Claus, and then enjoy the carol sing-a-long led by Frosty the Snowman. Or perhaps your children would prefer to join Santa's workshop and help the elves create some holiday crafts. Mrs. Claus herself serves hot chocolate and coffee. And to top it off, Santa will be leading a Safari through the Zoo's heated buildings, providing a unique experience face-to-face with the zoo animals. Santa's Safari takes place on December 7 to 8 as well as 14 and 15. Safari times are at 10 AM, noon, and 2 PM.
Sitting on Santa's knee for a photo and Christmas wish list sharing has never been more exciting for children. If they happen to be lucky enough to be in the Louisville area this Christmas, they can enjoy a whole lot more – like breakfast with Santa or even a Christmas Safari.
