The Final Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop of 2013 December 27th
The last F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop of 2013 is happening this Friday, December 27th starting at 6:00 p.m. The Hop will take place at all of the participating businesses along Frankfort Avenue, Story Avenue and Mellwood Avenue in Louisville. This is a free to attend event with both free parking and exciting trolley rides available.
At this Friday’s Hop, the Mellwood Art Center at 1860 Mellwood Avenue will feature artist and illustrator Robert Wilder. This renowned artist will awe patrons with live demonstrations in Big Studio B around the corner from Gallery Janjobe from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Michael King, an abstract expressionist will have paintings on display in the Pigment Gallery. Musical entertainment will be provided by the soothing sounds of Mandy Pennington, who will be performing in the Mellwood Courtyard.
Trolley hopping can work up an appetite and Bourbon Barrel Foods, BoomBooz Pizza, J Gumbos, Bluegrass Burgers and the Irish Rover are among some of the choices Hoppers have for dining. Those looking for something on the lighter side will find that Heine Brothers, Vint Coffee and the Comfy Cow are available to hit the spot for that caffeine or sugar craving.
Those who want to Hop out of 2013 won’t want to miss the last F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop of 2013 on Friday, December 27th from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. along Frankfort, Mellwood and Story Avenues.
