Tyrone Cotton and Jason Wilber at the Clifton Center January 11th
The Clifton Center at 2117 Payne Street in Louisville has outdone itself by booking the renowned Jason Wilbur and Louisville blues legend Tyrone Cotton on Saturday, January 11th. These two entertainers will provide a few hours of family friendly music starting at 8:00 p.m. Admission is set at $10 and concessions will be available for the duration of the show.
Jason Wilber is known not only for his smooth blues riffs, but also because he’s been the guitarist for such musicians as John Prine, Greg Brown, Todd Snider, Hal Ketchum and Iris DeMent. His laid back, folksy playing style has been entertaining crowds for decades from Carnegie Hall to London.
Tyrone Cotton puts originality back in the blues. His soul soothing songs are his own unique mix of Jazz and Blues and are known to inspire traditional music enthusiasts of all ages. Tyrone himself was inspired by Mississippi John Hurt, Jerry Garcia, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy and Langston Hughes.
