Valhalla Hosting Golf Scramble August 25
Watching the PGA Championship tournament at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville left even the worst amateur golfers with their own vision of playing a hole at Valhalla. The scenario likely starts with hearing the ping of a perfectly struck ball as the driver makes contact and the ball leaves the tee bed on its intended trajectory. The fantasy continues with the perfectly timed swing of a seven iron on the meticulously groomed fairway sending the ball to the green. The daydream culminates when the putt follows the read for over thirty feet dropping into the cup with the elusive birdie to the cheers of an imaginary crowd.
Cross Valhalla Golf Club Off Your Bucket List
Valhalla is a private golf club and unless you know a member getting a tee time might be difficult. On Monday, August 25 you have the opportunity to play at Valhalla and benefit cancer research. The Cowgill-Valvano Wild Eggs Scramble Fore Cancer will hold its second day of play at Valhalla Golf Club.
A spot in this celebrity scramble is outside the price for the typical charity golf scramble, but if playing at Valhalla is at the top of your post-PGA Championship bucket list, this is your chance.
Fundraiser for Cancer Research
The action will kick off with the Challenge Cup at Covered Bridge Golf Club on Sunday morning. The silent auction and the pairings party will be held on Sunday night before play begins at Valhalla Golf Club on Monday. The registration fee includes play and lunch at Covered Bridge on Sunday, two tickets to Sunday night's shindig, lunch prior to the 1:00pm shotgun start at Valhalla, a gift card for use in the pro shop, a plaque with a photo of your foursome and dinner following the scramble. It seems like at bargain at $1,250 per person when you consider it is a dream come true and has the potential to help find a cure for cancer.
