Victorian Ghost Walk in Old Louisville October 17-19
Imagine outdoor theater combined with a walking tour of America's most haunted neighborhood. Add a little uncertainty as to whether you are listening to an actor, a guide or an actual ghost. The Victorian Ghost Walk in Old Louisville has assembled those unique elements to create their annual fall fundraiser. A theatrical performance conducted as a walking tour is an experience that is definitely not common. The spooky elements of the subject matter added to the historic neighborhood with its gas lamp lined streets results in an ideal setting for a few good ghost stories.
Ticket Proceeds to Benefit Historic Old Louisville
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Ticket holders leave the Old Louisville Information Center every fifteen minutes between 7:00pm and 9:00pm all three nights on the third weekend in October.
The neighborhood becomes the stage for the amateur and professional actors who bring David Domine's characters to life in Old Louisville. Audiences can expect up to twenty storytellers throughout the evening.
Celebrating Ghost Stories and Legends
Old Louisville is the largest neighborhood of Victorian homes in the United States. Seeing it as the backdrop for this seasonal production, now in its tenth year, and at night heightens respect for the many facets of the neighborhood's beauty and uniqueness. The tradition and annual celebration of the preservation of our ghost stories and legends in Old Louisville is a treat for the neighborhood and its visitors every year. The residents of Old Louisville get into the spirit of the occasion by decorating their homes for the season with many passively participating in the fun in period costumes. Old Louisville's directive to its residents is to make Old Louisville spooky, but welcoming!
