Feeding Time at Henry's Ark
Henry's Ark is a unique interactive zoo where you can feed and pet the animals. In fact, some of them roam around pretty much at will so take care when parking. Bring carrots, lettuce and other raw veggies for the animals to eat. Please don't bring bread or cereals, because these items may make the goats very ill.
You'll find Henry's Ark in Prospect at 7801 Rose Island Road. Summer is a perfect time to go to the zoo, which is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm. There are many different animals at Henry's Ark. Zebras, swans, peacocks and sheep are among more than 100 animals who live here.
A Day in Prospect
Things may get a little wild among the animals at Henry's Ark, but life in Prospect is pretty peaceful. Many streets end in cul-de-sacs so they're quiet and calm, perfect for playing children. The Hunting Creek Country Club is in the center of the neighborhood. Beechland Beach is nearby, and Putney's Pond is near one corner of the community. In fact, you can find a little bit of everything here.
