Visit the Bernheim Research Forest This May
Enjoy the May weather by taking a visit to Bernheim Research Forest. Bernheim has more than 15,000 acres of nature to enjoy, and an arboretum encompassing more than 600 acres.
A Walk Through the Forest
Bernheim is open every day from 7 am to 8 pm. Learn more about the forest at the Visitor Center and Education Center, open every day from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is free for everyone from Monday through Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, admission to the forest is $5 per car, minivan or motorcycle. For vans and RVs, admission is $10.
This beautiful natural wonderland is covered with trails for hiking and biking, and many spots that are ideal for photography. Visit the edible garden while you're here before hitting the trails to discover many native Kentucky trees and plants. Wildlife of all kinds live throughout the forest, so keep your eyes open for four-legged friends while you explore. Go to the forest at 2075 Clermont Road. That’s just down the road from Shepherdsville. While you’re in the area, explore this neighborhood, too.
What You’ll See in Shepherdsville
Shepherdsville has unique shopping, like outlet stores and the locally famous Awesome Flea Market. The neighborhood has gyms, schools and restaurants. Shepherdsville is also home to Kart Kountry, a favorite for kids and adults alike. Shepherdsville is really a small town that has everything, including its own history museum.
