Visit the Louisville Gift Show in Shepherdsville February 22 and 23
The Louisville Gift Show is coming to Shepherdsville this February. If you want to get out of the city and do a little shopping this winter, you aren’t going to find a much better way to do it.
Getting Gifts
The Gift Show has been coming to Louisville since 1977, and over the years it’s grown into a huge event. The two-day shopping extravaganza features more than 100 different manufacturers who have goods to sell. You’ll find hundreds of items to choose from.
You’ll find all sorts of items at the gift show, including handcrafted items. Gourmet foods, furniture, clothing, bed and bath items, candy, jewelry, scarves, handbags – it will all be on sale. Concessions are also available, in case you want to nibble on something while you shop.
The show takes place from 9 am to 5 pm on the 22nd, 9 am to 4 pm on the 23rd. Go on both days to browse the huge selection of booths, because you probably can’t see it all in just one day.
Admission and parking are both free, and there’s lots of parking available. The gift show is at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center, which is just 10 minutes away from the Louisville International Airport. Shepherdsville is just a few minutes outside of the city, but it has its own unique look and feel.
In Another City
There are more than 11,000 people living in Shepherdsville today. As far back as 15,000 years ago, Native Americans were living in the area. It has developed a long history since it was mapped by a surveyor in 1773. Paroquet Springs is close to another of the city’s big attractions: Kart Kountry.
There’s lots of shopping and places to eat near this part of the city, but Shepherdsville is also known for its homes. The city is more wide-open than Louisville. Many homes sit on large tracts of land in quiet communities where neighbors are spaced far apart. Shepherdsville has its own schools and a strong sense of community despite its rural look and feel.
Get out of the big city this winter and go shopping for gifts. There’s no telling what else you’ll discover in Shepherdsville while you’re there.
