Watch the Runway for the Roses Fashion Show March 22

The Derby Festival is right around the corner. It’s one of Louisville’s most celebrated sporting events and social gatherings, but everyone knows it’s also one of the most important fashion events of the year. Do you know what you’re going to wear for this year’s Festival? Go to the Runway for the Roses Fashion Show at Westport Village this March, and get a look at some of the beautiful spring trends that will definitely be at Churchill Downs this year.

See all the latest trendy styles at this fashion show. Louisville boutiques like Apricot Lane, Clater Jewelers, FRESH and Tunie’s will present their most stylish looks from 5 to 7 pm. You’ll also get to taste some delicious local flavors and sample several wines and bourbons from Westport Whiskey & Wine from 5 to 6. The models will walk the catwalk from 6 to 7. All the shops displaying fashions in the show will be open until 9 pm immediately following the show, so if you fall in love with something you see you can purchase it right away to start working on your gorgeous Derby ensemble. Westport Village is a large shopping center where you can find all your Derby fashion and accessories.

The proceeds from this event benefit Maryhurst, Kentucky’s oldest non-profit organization. That means you’re actually helping to support a good cause and doing a good deed just by looking at incredible fashions and sipping bourbon! How many opportunities will you get to do that? General admission tickets cost $40. The price includes two drink tickets. It’s all happening at 1315 Herr Lane, right outside of Lyndon. This is a truly fashionable neighborhood, so before you leave the area take a look at what Lyndon has to offer.

Westport Village is across the street from the beautiful Robsion Park and the Lyndon post office. The neighborhood hosts frequent events in the park and elsewhere around Lyndon, which is a small city of its own. Lyndon has a city hall and historic attractions, along with several schools, places to shop and restaurants. Lyndon has everything families need, including a YMCA and a Recreation Association dedicated to providing family fun.
