Watch Waterfront Park Polo June 7
Go to the Waterfront Park on June 7 to see waterfront polo. This event is part of the Bourbon Affair event, a celebration of Kentucky’s favorite alcoholic beverage. Polo was once known as the sport of kings, but nowadays anyone can enjoy it. If you go to this laid-back event, you will.
Polo at Waterfront Park
Anyone is welcome to join the fun of Waterfront Park Polo. Get there at 11 am to feast on brunch provided by Wild Eggs. After brunch, four teams will face off to compete for the title of Bourbon Affair polo champion. Brunch tickets cost $100.
Polo isn't the only thing you'll see at this event. Kentucky Proud farmers market will be on site to offer locally-grown products. Bourbon will be provided by Town Branch, Michter's, Jim Beam and Heaven Hill. Get a tailgating spot for $125. Tailgating tickets are good for groups of four or more, and come with four drink tickets.
General admission costs $15, and allows you to wander around Waterfront Park at will. The event ends at 3 pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to see it all before it’s over. Find Waterfront Park at 1 River Road, right on the banks of the Ohio River.
A Walk on the Hill
Go a few blocks south of the waterfront, and you'll be in Park Hill. It's just to the west of historic Old Louisville, and it dates to the 19th century. This residential neighborhood is home to Johnson Traditional Middle School, several businesses and many different types of homes. Park Hill is within walking distance of California Park and lots of downtown attractions.
Buy a condo in Park Hill and live like a city dweller. People here are close to Waterfront Park and all the rest of the excitement of downtown Louisville, but they're also in a residential area where many families live and work. Park Hill offers the best of both worlds: city living in a neighborhood environment.
