Winter Break Camps at Frazier History Museum
Celebrate the after-holiday rush by letting the kids participate in Winter Break Camp where they can learn how other children ring in the New Year.
The Frazier History Museum is extending the holiday week by inviting children in grades K through 5 to their annual Winter Break Camp January 2nd through January 4th. This educational care program offers the children one, two or three days of unique environments in which they can explore traditional games, music and treats, while also learning about the variety of "first of the year" celebrations around the world.
Daily activities began at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m., but parents can enroll their children in the extended care program which is open until 5:30 p.m. for and additional $15. The cost per day for members is $35, and non-members pay only $45.
Being the only museum in Louisville based on history, the Frazier Museum takes children and adults back in time via historical materials and exhibits clearly explaining the progression of mankind. Their annual winter program is designed to provide children with a full day of entertainment and education including fun crafts and creative interactive programs. The programming itself was created with tradition in mind and shows the differences and the similarities between other culture's celebrations and our own.
