WorldFest 2013 in Louisville August 30th - September 2nd
Once again, the Belvedere welcomes the 2013 WorldFest starting Friday, August 30th and ending Monday, September 2nd. This is one of the largest international festivals in our region and it will be celebrating its 11th anniversary with a four day Labor Day celebration on the Belvedere and Waterfront Park.
Admission is free for all ages, so this will be four days of food, music, dancing, crafts, singing, education and entertainment families just won’t want to miss. The events will be taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The 2013 WorldFest will feature three stages with continuous music, dancing and entertainment along with a variety of booths offering handmade crafts and products from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Central and South America. There will also be an abundance of unique cuisines available for festival goers to enjoy including dishes from Germany, Thailand, Jamaica, Ethiopia, India and more.
Each year Mayor Greg Fischer puts special effort into making WorldFest more exciting than previous events. This year, they’ve taken it up a notch with more entertainment, kid’s activities, educational booths and even a job fair.
The riverfront will be overflowing with fun, food and entertainment from around the world this weekend, so come out and enjoy this FREE for all ages celebration at the Belvedere and Riverfront Park August 30th through September 2nd.
